PROVO, Utah – The Provo Fire Department is mourning the tragic loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Aaron White, who was killed in a tragic accident on November 9, 2024, in the Escalante area of Southern Utah. White, who had also been a part-time member of the Mapleton Fire Department for the past seven years, was widely regarded as a dedicated and compassionate first responder, and his death has left a deep void within the local firefighting community.

Aaron White’s commitment to public service was evident in his dedication to the profession and to the families he served. As a firefighter and paramedic, he demonstrated a passion for helping others, often going above and beyond in emergency situations. His contributions at Mapleton Fire, where he worked part-time, were particularly valued by both the department and the local community.

In a statement released by the Provo Fire Department, officials expressed their heartfelt condolences to Aaron’s family, including his wife and children. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aaron’s family during this incredibly difficult time.

Funeral arrangements for Firefighter/Paramedic Aaron White are pending. Details regarding services will be shared once they are finalized.
