@samwise_guy LOL this isn’t even close to the level of random stuff you start talking to me about. You’re learning so many languages at this point I can hardly keep track of which one you’re muttering to yourself! Is it Hebrew? Greek? Syriac? Aramaic? German? Who knows?! Also 😍 I love you.
While watching @TheCrownNetflix, Sam (very excitedly) noticed that Princess Alice was reading a Greek New Testament. He then had to pull out his own Greek NT to check which chapter it was. Because Sam. @samwise_guy
“There was no more forceful critic of a religious factionalism that excludes the other as not measuring up to the faction’s yardstick than Jesus. To lose this crucial theological stand taken by Jesus as not part of NT theology would be irresponsible.” -James D. G. Dunn
The primary realization you should have when abusers are exposed is not, "Wow, he was a good guy who slowly turned bad--that could be me!"
No, the lesson is how abusers subvert and manipulate our expectations of what a good guy looks like & use that against victims. Be on guard.
Christians should never fear accountability, transparency and the wisdom of skilled counselors. Seeking outside assessments and accountability aren't judgements about truth before hearing both sides, they are the way to ensure you DO hear both sides.
*Sam and I are listening to our phones*
Sam: “Switch headphones with me.”
*switch*
Sam’s headphones: “...and as you can tell from the 3rd movement of Vivaldi’s four seasons, the composer...”
My headphones: “IN THE JUNGLE THE MIGHTY JUNGLE THE LION...”
We have different taste.

Jesus: it's not a lack of harvest that's the problem; it's lack of harvesters. CCU was training harvesters, their loss is a loss for the Kingdom.
