Whether you agree with cuts or not, can we stop pretending “back office cuts” don’t affect the front-line.
Talk to a midwife, a police officer, a doctor etc. Resources removed from back office just means more work for front-line staff, who then cut time on their front-line work.
First 100 Days of #tobaccoDEMOalition@chrisluxonmp
Cost of living rises so far:
1. water/rates
2. rego
3. fuel
4. prescriptions
5. rent
6. public transport
People that voted for their $2 a week; was your vote worth the soundbites Luxon's lies were delivered in?
While our entitled Prime Minister is happy to apply for tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to live in his own home, his government are looking at taking away lunches from kids.
I guess our children aren't entitled to the entitlement of a daily meal.
Of course rainbow communities are focused on things broader than just rainbow issues.
But you can’t announce policies that will harm rainbow communities, turn up to Pride events which celebrate & advance the rights of rainbow communities & not expect to face some opposition.
I have to level with you NZ - I thought being PM would be easier.
We've accomplished nothing in 100 days. All that squeezed middle & cost of living stuff we talked about in the campaign: nada. We're actually making it harder for people. But you can still smoke.
So light up, NZ.
#BHn Ahhhhh, so tax cuts for the rich, paid for by keeping people smoking. Ironic ah, that addiction, especially smoking, affects Māori and the poor disproportionately. So literally tax cuts paid for by the poor through addiction.
ACT’s gun policy fucking terrifies me. Knowing the govt is definitely going to make it easier to own a gun “because you have the right to protect yourself” is the worst thing that could possibly happen to this country. If you’re not worried about this, you fucking well should be.
We do NOT need schools to be privatized in NZ. The strongest school systems in the world are state-funded - Singapore, Finland, Canada - why would we want to make our education system less effective by doing this? There is NO place for business profiteering & charter schs in NZ
So we now have a Minister of Health that is anti abortion, a Treaty Settlement minister who thinks on balance colonisation was a good thing, and an associate Environment Minister who is the number one advocate for farmers.
What an absolute joke.
The election voters that scare me the most are the 'aspirational voters'. Ones that vote National, ACT, etc. despite the fact they will be worse off under that government. Are they thinking 'one day I'll be rich like Luxon'.
