@looenytic @MollyJongFast Achievement unlocked: “Pascal’s Wager.” Congrats on catching up to a 1600s heretic, I guess. How about go even further back to John 8:7?
@hangrycatrpllr@HCActual@ViviVacca@DavidBegnaud@VP In Utah it’s pretty common to be asked what ward you’re from as small talk - including sometimes during interviews. Being part of a particular religion in that instance is a plus for social acceptance and networking.
Or there’s always being the “church lady”
@Rhymewilder Wish you could have come with us... although if that was an option, I don’t know that you’d be out of lip’s reach for a couple solid days. 💜💙💋
@PraxisDescends One thing I would recommend if you ever attempt it is to record the session so you can use it as reference to make up the world’s creation myths. We had one person decide to “mess up” someone else’s area and it became a feud between those races.
@PraxisDescends It was an experience. They were so confused and hesitant at first because I literally just plonked down a big map and some markers and told them to get to work. Before long we had squabbles over mountain range placement and 12 or so major races.
My D&D group growing up was actually a female majority. :)
It’s been a while since I’ve been behind the screen. My last campaign was a blast: I encouraged a sandbox setting by making the first session a literal world-building, with the PCs as their patron gods. https://t.co/e2fCqeTXqg
Right! I want to hear from women GMs, not for a project, just for my sanity.
All your stories, how you run your table, about your parties, your writing process, etc.
I will NEVER not want to hear about your stories 💜🙌
(Pls RT, cause I feel like I’m going out of my mind here)
@sansgamingytfr @SpaceshipYoshi @arhourigan Oh no. It translates a totally unrelated language badly. It’s almost like we don’t have a huge corpus of documents to train on between Japanese and French. Good thing the EU requires so many parallel texts and English is Norman French’s bastard child by way of Low German...
@sansgamingytfr @SpaceshipYoshi @arhourigan It’s a word that got misplaced and does very little to impair understanding. (Should read something like “ask google *for* help”) Translation is incredibly subjective.
Don’t be so up your own ass. You got caught saying something snide and thought no one would notice. Get over it.
@sansgamingytfr @SpaceshipYoshi @arhourigan Tu sais qu’il y avait un petit lien qui se traduit, n’est-ce pas?
(And a decade of French class says that Bing did pretty passably well.)
@j_buks@Josh_More@CE_Loveless @macleanbrendan So when I worked food service (2010-2012 in Tx), my hourly rate as a waitress was $2.14/hr. If I somehow wasn’t tipped enough to make minimum wage for the week, my pay was supposed to be supplemented up to minimum... but $8.25/hr honestly isn’t a living wage.
