I ended the school year with 3 days of author visits Woodridge Elementary. I presented “Truths and Lies” to grades 3-5 on the 1st day, then saw K and 1st grade for interactive read-alouds of all 4 books from the Meet Your World Series. So much fun!

This middle-grade nonfiction book is absolutely stunning: lovely text in verse, love, adventure, science, sidebars, survivor stories, illustrations/photographs/design, and in-depth backmatter. I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended!
