In 2012 the #Lionesses did not exist.
They were England Women, a team struggling for exposure and without a clear identity.
This is the story of how a single Tweet helped create a brand that has become one of the most powerful in sport.

@BakerGrove You, sir, have earned yourself a new follower due to your exquisite choices for Joe’s playlists on @chatabix1. I’ve liked 99% of your suggestions 👌
7 years ago today.
Such an incredible achievement & moment.
Group of players & staff who were absolute game changers.
Best of luck to @Lionesses this Summer hopefully go a couple of steps further
Such sad news. An absolute gent. Absolutely loved every second I spent with him, recounting tales from his Spurs days. And I will forever cherish the drinks I shared with him in the Cuckfield. Rest well my friend 🙏
🙏 We will be hosting a minute's silence tomorrow, in memory of former secretary Peter Barnes.
Peter (second from the right) came to the O's as secretary in 1973, serving until 1981, and was a regular at the O's in his retirement.
Rest in peace, Peter.

#thfc I’m not in Slovenia & only watched the first hour but that result makes it harder to keep arguing (as I have) that Spurs’ main problem over the last couple years has been the lack of a proper coach. So many of the players were just…bad.
@JoCurrie@Ben5McNamara This is just awful news. He was a truly great man and I loved being in his company. Thoughts and prayers to all of his loved ones. So, so sad x
The famous Dooher point in 2008 was obviously incredible, but it's even better if you watch the passage of play in full.
107 nonstop seconds. Cavanagh's catch. O'Sullivan's block. Young's pass. Cooper's through ball. McConnell's save. Holmes' tackle. Insane quality all over.
