As a lifelong dog lover who views these loyal animals as beloved family members and cherished pets that share our homes, beds, and hearts, people often ask me why I don’t like Islam and why I believe it has no place in America.

There are many reasons why, but one clear reason is the treatment of dogs in Islam as ritually impure creatures that are banned from living inside the home.

That worldview is embodied by Abdulraman Mohamed El-Sayed @AbdulElSayed, the Islamic-communist nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan, who as Director of the Detroit Health Department starting in 2015, directly oversaw Detroit Animal Control during a scandal where the kill rate hit 74%.

Under El-Sayed, the kennels at Detroit Animal Control were flooded with feces and urine, the facility was infested with cockroaches and rats, and whistleblowers went on the record to call it a “slaughterhouse” because so many dogs were dying.

In December 2015, Detroit’s 7 Action News @wxyzdetroit reported,

“The City of Detroit Health Director Abdul El-Sayed barred 7 Action News from interviewing the new head of animal control, telling one of our reporters that it was because of the stories we've done on Detroit Animal Control.”

Abdul El-Sayed deliberately tried to cover up the mistreatment of animals inside Detroit Animal Control when the local media was trying to expose bad conditions and advocate for innocent animals.

Ultimately, the city paid $63,000 to settle the resulting lawsuit after the whistleblower was fired. As a self-proclaimed Sunni Muslim, El-Sayed’s record and cultural attitudes clash with the values of a state that loves its animals. We simply cannot elect senators who would import or impose Sharia-derived views that demean and endanger the pets so many Americans hold dear.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I am deeply disturbed by the Islamification of America. Not just for myself, but for my 4 dogs and every other dog in America that will be victimized by Islam under Sharia Law.
