@nilikm Agree! I’m getting my son a second vaccine today and hope to speak with his paediatrician next week. I am also hoping to keep him home for 14 days and may then send him with N95 masks - but it still won’t feel safe. Thank you for all that you have been doing for our community!

@nilikm @fordnation Would it not make sense to have schools online until end of Jan/mid-Feb when more kids 5-11 will be fully vaccinated - with school/daycare spaces open for essential workers and single parents? Seems like a safer, more balanced option than opening them Jan 4.

@ctvottawa There is still no word on groups with high and at risk medical conditions who keep being pushed down further and further into phase 2 - these vulnerable groups feel forgotten.

@sxwxgirl1 @Rasticor1 @JimWatsonOttawa @OttawaHealth @ottawacity @OttawaParamedic Agreed, the high risk and at risk groups seem to be slipping further and further down in phase 2 and feel forgotten. Disability is an equity issue as well, and impacts health outcomes. Single mothers have also been forgotten in this vaccine rollout.

@BogochIsaac ...and still nothing on vaccines for residents with high risk and at risk chronic conditions... crickets... this vulnerable group has been almost completely forgotten, as have single mothers.

@ctvottawa ...and still nothing for residents with high risk and at risk conditions... crickets... and what about single mothers? Women have born the brunt of the pandemic from a childcare perspective and have been completely forgotten in Ontario's vaccine strategy.

@Do_good2020 @VeraEtches @OttawaHealth I know there are only so many vaccines to go around, but people with disabilities and health conditions are vulnerable, isolated, and have been all but forgotten - please at least communicate something to this group.

@theJagmeetSingh Thank you for acknowledging single mothers in the discussion about vaccines. There are unique issues and I haven’t seen them mentioned much in relation to vaccines.

@HomeDepotCanada Supposed to have a washer and dryer delivered 2 wks ago, washer scratched & no water, still no resolution! #singlemom
