The UK panicked over falling polls and booted its Prime Minister in under two years. But that same UK rushed to crown Bola Ahmed Tinubu after a flawed election, gave him a State Visit, and watched as 141 million Nigerians sank into poverty while he demanded four more years. The UK can spot its own rot but will crown yours. That is not diplomacy. That is hypocrisy.
Ironically, this heated "Olodo Uprising" conversation is actually a good sign for Nigeria.
Nigeria is finally having its first endogenous, organically-defined culture war over an issue that is intrinsically important to Nigerian society.
Every other culture war that post-colonial Nigeria has fought until now has been imported Yankee slop, or imported religious slop, or both (LGBTQ, 3rd wave Feminism, "sexual liberation", tithing, NYSC hijab, etc).
A society fighting internal culture wars over its own self-defined issues is a society that is finally obtaining an identity of its own. Long may the war continue, and may the olodos suffer crushing defeat that dooms their uprising to the chapters of a Jude Bela historical documentary released in 2045.
These people have been out of touch for so long, and it is a marvel that they remain not only politically relevant but also charged with leadership. Nothing they have ever said makes sense, no matter how much sycophants try to whitewash it. Nigerian political discourse is largely an IQ test, with really no basis for debate.
The problem with giving all of this talk too much attention is that people get distracted from their true intentions and actions. The government’s local borrowing increased 75% in one year without any meaningful impact on the man on the streets. Those are the issues that deserve attention. They are stealing us blind and distracting us with rubbish conversations.
"AI is the future of work, creativity and learning"...parrots a bamboozled African adult who due to having no media literacy, cannot tell the difference between a statement of objective technical fact and an expensive ad campaign that has been rammed into his head by rich people.
Watch and cure your ignorance, ye bamboozled African who believes "AI" is coming to save you from hard work and thinking, or grow your economy for you.
AI is rat poison, and the people selling it to you don't let their own kids go anywhere near it. That's all you need to know about it.
You've been hearing about the so-called "Olodo Uprising".
Here's a wider angle on this phenomenon to help you contextualise what you are actually witnessing, why it is happening and who is ultimately behind it (hint: it's not Peller - he's just a symptom!)
“And what is my fault in Kebbi ?
I stood up here in the Senate to tell Nigerians to assist us that bandits are killing us.
And suddenly, the governor thought, I was fighting him.
I have never fought to the governor.
I have nothing against him.
But my people that sent me here asked me to cry, and I cried.
And they appreciate it. 3 years since Tinubu’s government, 3 years.
2023, 2024, and 2025.
The budget has not been implemented.
He has never implement a budget.
How does a country run without a budget?
The selective financing of project, and we have borrowed and borrowed and borrowed.
Where is the money we are borrowing?
All the revenue generating agency in this country told us they have exceeded their target.
Where is the money going?”
Senator representing Kebbi state, voices out his frustration with Tinubu led administration.
This is how 17 year olds used to hold conversations.
What 17 year old? Fuck that. What 30 year old is this articulate in today's Nigeria?
For far too long, we've allowed olodos to be the loudest in the rooms.
We have a real chance to push back now. We will milk it.
Since YCee has awakened Nigerians to the “Olodo uprising” debate, here’s a report on how the big tech giants weaponize their algorithms to dumb down the Nigerian/African population.
It’s my favorite report for the @Spearhead_Af from last year, but evergreen. Make sure you follow the @Spearhead_Af for more of this every single day.
Hate him or Love him, Mr Bayo Onanuga gives you an unfiltered access to the mind of the President.
He’s one man you can truly say speaks for the President. He mirrors Tinubu’s lack of empathy and concern towards the suffering masses. Just like his boss, he’s completely disconnected from the harsh realities citizens face everyday as a result of their actions.
Mr President,
Please escape from your handlers and visit a market or mall, and ask about the price of food.
Please go out and see for yourself
Your bubble is hiding reality from you, sir
Over 10 top military officers were killed under Tinubu. We watch them slaughtered on live videos.
Meanwhile Tinubu’s Air Fleet received ₦20.3 billion, while our Army’s allocation for operational equipment, which was supposed to receive ₦20.6 billion, received only ₦1.4 billion barely 8% of what it should be.
He’s busy campaigning while school children have spent over 30 days in captivity.

Bayo Onanuga said he doesn’t see hunger anywhere.
I think that’s more dangerous. This govt are no longer in tune with the realities of Nigerians.
How can you help the people if you don’t see their suffering.
