What God Cannot Do Does Not Exist !!
Let's begin to give dignity to human lives in our land.
The death of 37 persons in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Minna, Niger State, is a deeply troubling tragedy that demands urgent answers. These were persons who had been arrested as suspects. Whatever offence they were suspected of committing, they were still human beings, and the responsibility of the State was to keep them alive, safe, and treated humanely while due process took its course.
It is particularly disturbing that so many people could die within a place of detention in such a short period. While investigations are ongoing into the actual cause of these deaths, including reports concerning disease, overcrowding, and inadequate ventilation, Nigerians deserve a transparent, independent, and credible investigation that establishes exactly what happened.
This tragedy also reminds us that security is not merely about arresting people. Security is about protecting lives, upholding the dignity of every citizen, and ensuring that the institutions entrusted with our safety operate within the law.
A nation cannot claim to value human life when people can enter government custody alive and emerge dead without immediate, transparent, and credible accountability.
I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and urge the authorities to ensure that justice is done. Nigeria must become a country where the rule of law protects every citizen, not only those who are free but also those who are in custody.
May God grant the families the strength to bear this painful loss. -PO
How can 37 miners just die like that? All 37 of them in detention?
The circumstances are deeply concerning and raise questions about what may have happened. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I think every possible explanation should be properly investigated, including whether there could have been exposure to toxic substances or any other unusual circumstances.
If they had discovered something valuable, it's also important to establish whether that played any role at all. The facts should be made public so the families and everyone else can understand what really happened.
Just in!
Abia State Gov. Alex C. Otti Signs The Much Needed Educational Reforms Bill:
-School Leaving Certificate now cost #2000 only.
-No switching of schools in SS2.
-Where you did your SS2 is where you're writing WAEC/NECO.
-Nobody registers for WAEC/NECO without passing a Government-set examination: Government Centralized Exam (GCE).
-Textbooks are reusable.
No more doing homeworks inside textbooks, prompting new students to buy fresh textbooks each term. Families who have many kids can now have their children inherit textbooks from their siblings.
-No extravagant graduation ceremony for nursery and primary students.
All these directives, which are aimed at curbing extortion of parents, making quality education more affordable, apply to both public and private schools in Abia State.
You see that thing you people are doing with Peter Obi's 2012-2014 appraisal tweets makes me so happy.
That's how you should respond when APC niggas receive their next pay to push propaganda against him.
Thats exactly what you should do when sOLODO's mental illness visits.
This was the day I finally decided to take a break. Since 2020 I have dedicated my art and platform to speaking up against injustice, bad governance and societal ills.
I remember all of it even during the 2023 Elections. There is nothing I will say now that I haven’t already said. And even though I know I can continue to do that, it just gets tiring.
A few of us can’t keep begging the Majority of Nigerians to earn their own freedom.
The oppressors will never let it go so easily. They are nothing without corruption and that is why they will stop at nothing to continue to enable the rot in our society at the expense of the Nation’s success and prosperity.
How can a few politicians continue to ruin the lives of over 200 Million Nigerians and do it so brazenly without any resistance! I’m sure they also cannot believe their luck.
Until Nigerians get rid of the survival mentality which conditions us to automatically operate on survival mode instead of a sane and enabling environment that gives every Nigerian the opportunity to succeed, then we are truly not ready.
Bihari wasted 8 years of your youth. Tinubu has added 4 and wants another 4.
That's 16 years of your prime where your mates in similar economies are outpacing you.
You're not voting Peter Obi to be kind to Peter Obi or to be fair to Igbo people.
You're voting Peter Obi to fight for your life.
Debunking the Phantom Debts and Ecological Loan Fallacy
My attention has been drawn to trending claims by the Anambra State Government that my administration left behind inherited debts, including a ₦2 billion ecological loan, contractor liabilities, and unpaid salaries, gratuities, and pensions. This is completely false.
We systematically liquidated historical gratuities and arrears dating back several years, amounting to over ₦35 billion. At the point of handover, the state owed nothing in salaries, gratuities, or pensions, nor did we owe anything to any contractor for projects duly executed and certified.
The ₦2 billion ecological fund in question was released barely three months before the end of my tenure for the Oko/Umuchiana erosion crisis. Despite pressure to spend the money, I refused, insisting that it should be left for my successor because government is a continuum and the funds were tied to a specific project.
The money was therefore left 100 per cent intact in First Bank, in Account No. 2018779464, with a balance of over ₦2.13 billion.
It is important to stress that funds tied to specific projects or set aside for particular purposes were not even included in the over ₦75 billion in savings we left behind.
If anybody can establish anything to the contrary, I will stop campaigning. -PO
Peter Obi can afford fuel even if it's N10k per litre.
It's you that hunger will kill.
You're not voting Peter Obi because you want to help Peter Obi.
You're voting a people conscious president because you want to help your own life.
If everyone followed God's commands about sexual immorality by no longer:
- Fornicating
- Watching porn
- Lusting
- Having sex outside of marriage
STDs would be gone, millions of hearts healed, and countless families restored.
This is God's intention, and his way is better!
I made a website about @PeterObi. It details his entire life, his roots, offices held, source of wealth, documented donations, achievements as a governor, and more.
When they ask you what Peter Obi did as governor, send them https://t.co/MJy4SuUuXH
Retweet this to get it far!
Peter Obi said something that made me pause.
Since Nigeria gained independence in 1960, not a single Nigerian born after independence has become President of Nigeria, every president we've had was born before independence.
Yet for decades, we keep hearing!
