@nirav_maine@LindsayHammes said it well, the classiest of class acts. What a gracious concession by an honorable man who believes in the process & respects democracy. I'm proud to have supported you from the beginning and will do again and again because your star will shine bright & long.
@nirav_maine Friend, why even post here? Just a bunch of losers who can't stfu if they don't have anything positive to say. It's where they come to spew their verbal sewage.
Looking forward to our win tomorrow. ❤️
There is no question where I stand on reproductive rights and women’s health.
As Illinois’ public health director, I fought to expand access to birth control and make it available over the counter. In this race, I am the only candidate who has released a comprehensive plan to safeguard reproductive freedom in Maine, and I am proud to have earned a 100% rating on Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund’s questionnaire.
As Governor, I will never waver. I will protect women’s rights, defend reproductive freedom, and ensure that deeply personal health care decisions stay where they belong: between patients and their providers.
I’m honored to have earned this endorsement from the Maine Education Association after such a rigorous endorsement process. During one of the hardest periods our schools have faced, I worked every day to protect the health and safety of our educators and saw them show up for Maine students in extraordinary ways.
As governor, I will continue to show up for Maine’s educators, students, and schools—listening, partnering, and making sure they have the resources they need to help every student succeed.
“The reasons women make reproductive health decisions are deeply personal. Financial circumstances. Genetic diagnoses. Health risks. Timing. Relationships. And sometimes, circumstances no woman should ever have had to experience in the first place. None of those decisions are easy and no politician, federal agency or ideology should have the final word. That word belongs to women, their families and their doctors.
Maine has always understood this. Dr. Shah is committed to keeping it that way, both in principle and in practice, with the funding, the policy and the medicine to back it up.
Because the difference between safe and unsafe shouldn’t come down to which state you live in, which administration holds power or whether care is available when you need it most.”

When it comes to AI data centers, a pause would have been prudent.
If we’re going to have AI data centers, let’s do it right, not fast.
That’s why I would have signed the AI data center legislation here in Maine. People should know when a data center is coming to their town.
I am honored to be recognized as a @MomsDemand Action Gun Sense Candidate. Gun violence is a public health issue, and we need leadership that treats it that way.
We can support common-sense gun safety measures while respecting Maine’s hunting traditions. I was proud to support the red flag law this past November, and as Governor, I’ll continue fighting for reforms that keep Maine communities safe.
State workers are public servants who show up every day to keep Maine running and deliver the essential services our communities depend on. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but it touches every part of our lives and keeps our state moving forward.
I’ll be standing in solidarity with them at the MSEA-SEIU Local 1989 May Day rally - join us next Friday! RSVP here: https://t.co/QZ9PPZhQ6W
Art Cleaves is a legend in Maine for a reason. He has spent his life helping communities prepare for the worst and recover stronger. I’m incredibly honored to have his support. He understands what this job requires, not just in moments of crisis, but in the work we do every day to keep people safe, strengthen our systems, and build a more resilient Maine.
I am deeply honored to have the support of these veterans who have given so much in service to our country and our state. Veterans in Maine are facing real challenges—from rising costs to barriers in accessing care—and they deserve leadership that shows up for them. As governor, I will make sure veterans’ issues are prioritized, that we expand access to the care and services they’ve earned, and that we have their backs—just like they had ours.
For decades, Wabanaki tribes have been denied the same self-government rights that have allowed more than 570 other federally recognized tribes to thrive. Last night at the Wabanaki Alliance Gubernatorial Forum, I shared how, as governor, I’ll work in true partnership with tribal leaders to advance sovereignty and build stronger, safer, and healthier communities.
Progress matters — but it’s not the same as resolving the underlying issue. True tribal sovereignty means self-determination shouldn’t depend on approval from Augusta.
I'm proud to have the endorsement of South Asians for America. I know firsthand the sacrifices families make to build a better future, and I know how important it is to have leaders who see, understand, and fight for those communities. Here in Maine, and across our country, we are at a moment where Donald Trump is targeting immigrants and dividing our country. We need to come together around our shared values and build a future that is more affordable, more inclusive, and more just for everyone. That’s the campaign we’re running, and I’m grateful to have South Asians for America with us in this fight.
I’m honored to have the endorsement of Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett, who has dedicated his career to keeping Maine communities safe. I’m deeply grateful for his support.
Keeping people safe—especially in times of crisis—requires strong partnerships between public health, local leaders, and law enforcement. Sheriff Brackett understands the importance of steady leadership, clear communication, and working together to protect our communities, and I’m proud to stand with him as we work to build a safer, healthier future for Maine.
Join us for our next Town Hall with Dr. Nirav Shah in Augusta on Sunday, March 22 at 4:00 pm. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
