The American School for the Deaf wouldn't admit Black students during segregation, so the Black deaf community created its OWN language, known today as Black American Sign Language. One more example of the resiliency and innovation of Black people throughout history! 👏🏾
I can message and call and email and Class Dojo you til I’m blue in the face. I can pull your scholar during asynch to reteach, and give them additional time during synch to do their work.
But I’m not Jesus. I can’t make a miracle out of nothing.
Parents, we need your help.
Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Building relationships with your students is worth your time and effort. #edchat

“You guys” out there should all give it a try. Y’all will love it
