How is this person an MLA, let alone the Minister of Education??? First the 'what do they want, my first born?' comment and now this?? Not to mention an ethics investigation for conflict of interest. Resign or be fired but this person cannot continue in this role.
International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia is on May 17. The day affirms the right of all members of 2SLGBTQIAP+ communities to live freely as themselves in all countries & in all spheres-at school, at work, in broader society & at home. https://t.co/ApI3rgvCdC
School boards need to be sharing their realities.
Negative or positive.
There should be transparent reporting of funding from every single publicly funded school division in our province.
🚩Don't be fooled! The Teacher Support and Innovation Fund has supported only 40 projects. We have 13,500 teachers, so ~ 0.3% are being supported with this fund.
These aren't the stats I would be celebrating.
This just shows that this man isn’t the right person to be in any position of power. He lacks compassion and empathy. In education, relationships are the foundation of all we do. He just doesn’t understand.
I am an STF teacher. I am confident that the president, executive, and senior STF leadership are representing my views, listening to teachers, and are standing up for public education. This is a flimsy attempt to create an appearance of division in a unified membership. #wearestf
This camp has been part of my life for 25+ years. Started out as a camper, then a volunteer, and now I serve on the planning committee. Feel free to dm me with any questions or apply today:

@AlexanderQuon STF is asking that ONE SENTENCE be included in the collective agreement:
“The parties agree that the Multi-Year Funding Agreement and the accountability framework will be followed and honoured.”
@SaskParty refusal = corruption! #TimeToGoMoe#WeAreSTF#saskpartycorruption
STF president Samantha Becotte says they asked the province to include a line at the request of the STF that the funding agreement would be binding.
Says there were a few back and forth conversations but they were given a NO shortly after noon
Negotiation is a two-way street, a conversation between two parties to find common ground and solutions.
A take-it-or-leave-it offer with zero meaningful engagement from government isn't negotiating.
Saskatchewan students and families deserve better from this government.
In case you missed it: In 2023, private schools received a 25% increase of taxpayer funds compared to the previous year.
Public schools received a 2.5% increase.
Boy, the @SaskParty apologists are out in full force today, aren’t they?
…bottom line: the labour disruption would have ended entirely if the SP govt accepted binding arbitration.
They refused.
The resulting disruptions are 100% on @PremierScottMoe.

I’m sure someone has already said this better
But, shouldn’t the bare minimum qualifications for a Minister of Education be to have attended a public school at some point in their education?
Asking for a province.

📣A call to action:
🔸📞, tweet, & fb your messages to gov.
Tell them:
🔸 to agree to binding arbitration on class size & complexity, & allow a neutral 3rd party to decide this issue.
🔸your vote is on the line.
🔸Rally others & amplify each other.
Parent voice is powerful.
Sad & angry in equal measure. I know how hard athletes, coaches, & officials worked to get to Hoopla and that it likely won't happen makes me so sad. But we are here due to 10 yrs of cuts & bad faith bargaining by govt. place your anger with @PremierScottMoe & @jeremycockrill
We don’t want to be doing this. Government can end this with binding arbitration for class size/complexity. Lots of people seem to want that too, as 80k+ emails have been sent since Friday asking them to agree to it.
Tell government enough is enough. https://t.co/iHxd50SCj0
