⚠️ PSA: Watch Out for Impersonation Scams in Crypto
There’s been a rise in fake accounts pretending to be influencers, industry leaders, and celebrities in the crypto space. Scammers mimic profile pictures, usernames, and bios to trick you into sending them crypto.
Stay Safe:
- Don’t trust a profile just because it looks real. Scammers copy logos and photos to seem credible.
- Double-check usernames and profiles. Legit influencers often have verified accounts or a history of authentic content.
- Verify through official sources. Visit the influencer’s official website or trusted social media handles before sending funds.
- Check with your network. If something feels off, ask your friends or community to confirm the account’s authenticity.
Remember: Trust is earned. Stay alert, verify identities, and never send funds to accounts that just “look legit.” If in doubt, don’t send anything.
