I am standing for election to the Law Society (0-6 pqe lawyers can vote)-voting opened today. I will be bringing this same energy and advocacy to the Law Society that I have to the pharmacy equivalent. https://t.co/rASVjel0TZ
Starting a new legal role today whilst continuing to practice as a frontline pharmacist, ๐บ providing healthcare expertise and generally challenging the status quo. ๐ซ #PharmacistThorrun#HealthcareLawyer
Saw a lawyer doing his best for a drug dealer facing sentencing.
He's pursuing 'barrister training', he told the judge.
The lad's legal career was vanishingly short.
It turned out he is actually pursuing 'barista training'.
What's a good, cutting barrister word for use in submissions, when describing a position adopted by the other side (subsequently conceded), that is a synonym for ludicrous, illogical, facially idiotic, something that doesn't stand up to more than 3 seconds of considered thought?
Sharing the work of @rpharms with @JuniorLawyers whilst recognising that my interest in raising the profile of pharmacy and healthcare in the media is longstanding and before I was even eligible to join @rpharms!
@pharmthorrun โI qualified as a pharmacist and later completed the GDL to qualify as a solicitor around 5 years agoโฆ, I wouldnโt change my route into law and it has allowed me to relate to my clientsโ needsโ
