@RustyMansell_ Beach house in Destin. Windows open. Watching with unseen friends up and down the beach. I scream. Wife in the other room heard the roar coming from everywhere. Good times.
Democrats will shout and scream, call you a bigot, nazi, fascist, racist, misogynist, sexist threat to democracy, then lose their ever-loving minds and call you “divisive” when you come to the logical conclusion that maybe we’re no longer “fellow citizens” simply debating issues.
Understand something. The name-calling is not hyperbole, those names are what they think we actually are. The real tactic at this stage is them feigning outrage when you notice.
They need you to see this as the same old debates between left and right so you don't see this for what it has become. A clash of diametrically opposed worldviews that can't coexist with one another.
Don't believe me?
Ok…how do you share a constitutional republic built upon Christian morality, English common law traditions, property rights, and limited government with a political movement that not only doesn't want those things, but believes they are oppressive tools of the patriarchy that must be “decolonized” and replaced with a largely Marxist interpretation of economics and a hedonistic interpretation of morality?
When John Adams said our Constitution was written for a moral and religious people and is totally unsuited to the government of any other, that wasn't just flowery political talk. He wasn't making a campaign speech. He was making an observation about objective reality.
And by the way, that opinion is not just shared by those of us who admire Adams, it's shared by those who hate him.
The DSA agrees that our constitution is “totally unsuitable” for the country they want. Which is why they openly talk about fighting, dismantling, and replacing it.
In a recent poll, 59% of Democrats said they support the DSA. So this is not some insignificant “fringe” on the left. It's the emergent wing that Democratic leadership recognizes it is dependent upon to take control.
So understand that their outrage at you seeing this fight for what it is, is how they keep you from fighting it the way it needs to be fought.
What's sad is their tactic might just work.
This is the big picture for the November elections:
(1) As usual, "Democrats" create election narratives to "sell" during the election.
(2) In decades past this would have included significant policy promises to be enacted if they succeed. This year's batch is really weak, though, because the "Democrats" wish list is polling at only about 30% or even less.
(3) So, instead of promises, which are de-emphasized, the "Democrats" are basically emphasizing complaints. These complaints aren't false, e.g. the cost of living, but "Democrats" spin false narratives around why they are there which blame Republicans for the problems they themselves created willfully - not even by accident. Examples: food inflation, electricity prices in blue states, ICE deportation activity.
(4) This year there is also a strong attempt to sell socialism in its undiluted form to the American public. This involves demonizing the rich even to the point of making them be assassination targets. But not the rich that fund the Left. Interesting that. It's an argument that appeals only to the "Democrat" hard core leftist base. This isn't selling elsewhere, even in 2026.
So when Donald Trump tries to take away one of their election-year narratives, e.g. by buying diesel fuel from Russia, the caterwauling is astonishing, but it's all crocodile tears. The same thing with the grand juries convened for Ilhan Omar - it's the complete "Democratic" narrative implosion that they are truly furious about.
"I'M CALLING IT ISAIAH": Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he did not know how to pronounce Hurricane Isaias, calling it "weird" during a press conference in Miami.

Once you come to realize that FDR took a wrecking ball to the U.S. Constitution — and would have done more damage to it had his Court-packing scheme succeeded — then your mind will totally be set free and you’ll realize that FDR should be at the bottom of the lists of greatest U.S. Presidents, not the top.
The reason he’s at the top is that the academic rankers are leftists and they agree with the radical changes made to our Constitution during FDR’s overlong, nearly king-like reign.
Lastly, because he allowed the State Department to become infested with communists like Alger Hiss, Yalta turned into a disaster and the Iron Curtain’s tyranny was blinked at and thus effectively ushered in.
Truly a terrible President. The first part of your tweet is “conventional wisdom,” but it too is wrong and incomplete as to painting FDR as an utter American catastrophe. His sin was not just Japanese internment.
RE: Pete Hegseth’s Cut of 20% of Generals & Admirals
According to Grok, in 1945 generals and admirals represented 0.017% of the total active US military.
In 2026, that percentage is 0.065%
For you political science majors out there, that basically means that we have four times more generals and admirals today than we had at the end of World War II (as a percentage of the active force).
This is obviously a problem and Pete Hegseth is obviously fixing it, yet because Hegseth Derangement Syndrome is such a chronic disease in the stultified, festering minds of America’s self-appointed military theorist intelligentsia, the usual suspects are pretending this action weakens America when in fact it greatly strengthens it.
Excellent work, Mr. Secretary.
Here comes the next false narrative op!
(1) When they say "oceans warming" they mean the top 100 meters of the ocean. The deep ocean temperatures haven't even budged.
(2) When they say "sea level rise" they mean 3.3 mm per year, up slightly from last century's average of 2.2 mm per year. Isolated cases exist where sea level rise looks larger - because the land is subsiding, not because oceans are rising.
Nobody should get their science news from CNN - not if they are at all serious.
adults are ... "out for victory. And the only way we’re going to have any chance of winning our country back is by defeating the communists who want to destroy what’s left of it." @KurtSchlichter
