Fun Fact for those who don't know: Since she is supposed to be Chinese, in English we get her CN name "Hong Hua." CN names get adapted to JP differently, as "Kouka." Using the same characters (hanzi/kanji) but different reading. This happens in Genshin & other CN→JP games.

Her English name, as per Nintendo Today!, is "Hong Hua", which notably means "crimson flower" in Traditional Chinese.
This was also the name of the Crimson Flower route in the Traditional Chinese localization of Three Houses (the other part I think just says it's the chapter of).

Sometimes they do get adapted phonetically though. Like "Xiangling" is "Shanrin" (though have to add furigana)

iirc JP→CN names also can get adapted in the local reading based on their kanji/hanzi

it's honestly like a dream come true. there's this whole entire music studio dedicated to the highest quality music & performances, that's intricately intertwined with the parts of vocaloid i came to love and value highly. it's a safe beacon in the middle of the dark sea

as someone who grew up on vocaloid, who now listens to mostly kamitsubaki and other vsingers, i really love how kamitsubaki was born from vocaloid culture and iterates upon it in a way that i love, and they even became a part of its history and legacy itself through kafu

it's been disillusioning to see how vocaloid has changed over the decades since i got into it as a very little kid. i had to give up on some of my dreams because of how things changed so much. but i will always be thankful to kamitsubaki studio for keeping part of my dream alive
