For clarification purposes, Lewis wasn’t called to pit under VSC on lap 39. Leclerc was.

Shortly after the VSC Hamilton was reminded he was on Plan B and they were getting close to his pit stop. That was when he made the call to stay out in the hopes that another VSC would be deployed.

I believe that’s the call he is apologising for.

Surely there is no way Ferrari are self sabotaging because Leclerc crashed? It genuinely looks like they've compromised Hamilton on purpose.
