Peter Obi while trying to discourage sterotypeing completely missed the mark.

"As an Igbo man, I have endured stereotypes, judgment, and labelling solely based on my ethnic origins". My goodness the hypocr'sy.

Now, has he criticized or cautioned the Igbos who also show discrimination towards other ethinicities online? No, I am yet to see that. His now running mate Kwankwaso faced a lot of backlash during the last elections with many throwing shades towards the Northerners as a whole. Did he speak up then? No.

If I also remember correctly, there was a time someone (Gaius Chibueze) who is known as Bitcoin Chief pledged millions to anyone who can show or name a non-indigene that has landed property in the South-East, and till date, no-one could name a single person to claim that money, which is over N10m. That speaks volumes. But the Igbos own lands across the nation.

Again let's not forget the JAMB saga involving Mmesoma and how many people were quick to make it a Yoruba issue, and later kept silent when it turned out that she lied. Isn't that another discrimination towards another region?

This is the same Obi who is yet to clear his name in regards to the Yes Daddy phonecall that raises questions of religious bigotry, which is another form of sterotype.

Addressing the issue and using your ethnicity to make a point when you haven't called out some of your own people who do the same is the height of hypocrisy.

This is a Nigerian problem, not perculiar to the Igbos or Fulanis; Every opportunity shouldn't be turned into a campaign tactic and if you must address an issue, don't be bias.

This is the fact. The dynamic has shifted.

The k!dn@pp£rs are exhausted. Not just physically, but strategically. Every video they release shows the same forest background, the same makeshift covers, the same desperate tone. They are not threatening they are pleading. That is not the posture of people in control.

They want out. They are in a cul‑de‑sac, and they know it. Security forces have sealed escape routes. Resupply lines are cut or compromised. They cannot move the hostages without risking detection. They cannot stay without running out of food and patience.

Your observation is spot on. In the latest video, the kidnappers are no longer showing open terrain. They are using clothing and fabric to block the view of surrounding shrubs a deliberate counter‑surveillance tactic. That means they know they are being watched. They know they are being tracked.

And they are afraid.

Why this matters:

♦️ They haven't moved far. The fact that they are still camouflaging the same hideout suggests security forces have sealed off escape routes. They are pinned.

ISR and geographical tracking do not lie. The noose is tightening. The question is not if the hostages will be rescued, but when.

The military is balancing two objectives:
✅ Neutralising the kidnappers
✅ Ensuring the safe return of every single hostage

That takes time. That takes precision. That takes patience.

But make no mistake: the k!dnappers are not winning. They are surviving moment to moment, video to video.

Their location is known. Their escape routes are blocked. Their options are running out and limited.

In one of the most significant hostage rescue operations conducted in the North East Theatre in recent times, troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), comprising Special Forces and troops of Sector 1, have successfully rescued 360 abductees from a heavily fortified Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) enclave deep within the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno State. The operation, which was the culmination of weeks of painstaking intelligence preparation, covert reconnaissance, and operational planning, resulted in the safe recovery of men, women, and children who had been held in captivity under harsh conditions after being abducted from several communities, particularly within the Ngoshe axis. The successful rescue underscores the growing operational reach, intelligence dominance, and tactical superiority of OPHK in denying terrorists freedom of action and protecting vulnerable populations across the theatre.
