I have seen this picture cross my feed many times, and every single time it pulls me up short. His little blue lunchbox, the sneakers that are probably a tad too big because he would grow into them, the straps for his glasses so that he didn’t lose them, his checkered shirt that his little hands might have stumbled over in trying to make sure he got every button right, or perhaps his mother bent down to help him with; his mother who he waves goodbye to, who he loved and who loved him so deeply.
Famously, human learning takes *very little* energy. A toddler learns thousands of words and an entire grammar while eating nothing but raspberries, before learning to read. An LLM needs a nuclear reactor and the entire internet as a training corpus.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but start living. The days are flying by, and all you do is work, pay bills, and stress. Enjoy what you can… walks, sunsets, music, laughter. Joy doesn't have to be expensive. You deserve it.

Americans were forced to pay $175 billion in illegal Trump tariffs and now the refunds are going to corporations instead of back to the people who got robbed.
it's so fucking hilarious how every single person who posted about charlie kirk like it was the biggest tragedy to ever happen in the history of the world have NOTHING to say about every other death due to gun violence. just mindnumbingly hypocritical. embarrassing & disgusting

Growing up in the 90s & early 2000s they wanted us to read, drink milk, play outside, just say no to drugs, reduce, reuse, recycle. Ms. Frizzle was our secondary teacher and Captain Planet was considered a hero. That’s the world I grew up in, so seeing where we are now is wild.
