Little Elon is on the left, Kimbal next to Maye, and baby Tosca in her arms.

Those years were not easy. Money was tight. The marriage was difficult.

Maye worked as a model and dietitian while raising three young kids largely on her own after the divorce.

Yet the photos from that time show something soft and steady.
