i feel like being a normal, rationalize human being suggests that if it’s an even trade (window seat for window seat, aisle seat for aisle seat) and it’s not a major inconvenience (having to move to the opposite end of the plane) you can, out of the niceness of your heart and through no *obligation* change seats with someone. the problem is that these freaks always have a middle seat in row 52 and desperately want you to give up your aisle seat in row 15 so they can sit next to their partner. like, come on. i think everyone needs to be more reasonable here.
