Congrats to Carter Hajek on joining "Club 7000" !!!
With tonight's total, Carter eclipsed 7,000 career rushing yards and became the 8th 11-Man player to do so.
Great work Carter and GO THUNDER!!! #Nemaha
The postgame prayer circle that’s become commonplace after Sabetha games had a little more meaning tonight. Both communities are rallying around Thunder player Daniel Childress who amazingly was in attendance just 8 days after having brain surgery.

Had to add a few more stickers this year. Brain Cancer Awareness ribbon and #61. No one fights alone. Danny and his family have had a HUGE support team behind them. Danny is kicking tail so far with radiation in the next few weeks.
Nemaha Central (2A, 5-0) rolled to another dominant win Friday, defeating Oskaloosa 55-6. Senior Caleb Strathman shined with five touchdowns, all in the first half, including three receiving scores from quarterback Carter Hajek and two punt return touchdowns. Strathman totaled 180 yards in the first half alone as the Thunder continued their impressive run. Nemaha Central has yet to play a game decided by fewer than 14 points and will host Sabetha this week. #sportsinkansas

7 TD’s for Hajek 🤯: Nemaha Central (2A, 3-0) senior quarterback Carter Hajek delivered a humungous performance in tonight’s 56-28 statement win over Rossville, proving once again why the Thunder are one of the top teams in Class 2A. Hajek carried the ball 30 times for 368 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns, while also going a perfect 3-for-3 through the air for 84 yards and another score. The two-time Sports in Kansas 2A Offensive Player of the Year showed exactly why he’s one of the most dangerous dual-threat QBs in the state. Behind Hajek’s incredible effort, Nemaha Central continues to solidify itself as a powerhouse in 2A football. #sportsinkansas

Super Sophomore: Ali Henry of Nemaha Central (3A) unleashed a 145-3 throw in the javelin earlier this week in her home meet. It is the #3 throw in Kansas in all classes & #1 throw in 3A. In fact, the top three throws in javelin in Kansas are 1A, 1A, 3A. It is the third best throw in the United States for a sophomore in the 2025 season 👏. #sportsinkansas
