😳 SHE FOUND OUT SHE WAS "WORKING" AT AMAZON... WITHOUT EVER APPLYING! 🤦🏾♀️
A Memphis woman got the shock of her life after checking her credit report and discovering she was listed as an employee at Amazon—even though she had never worked there. According to police, 33-year-old Tasha Kennedy allegedly stole the victim's identity to secure a job at an Amazon facility. Investigators say the victim's signature was forged on employment documents, allowing Kennedy to obtain the position using someone else's personal information. The fraud wasn't discovered until the victim reviewed her credit report and noticed the unauthorized employment. Kennedy has since been arrested and is facing charges related to identity theft, forgery, and fraudulent use of personal identifying information.
⚠️ This is a reminder to regularly check your credit reports and monitor your personal information. Identity theft can affect far more than your finances—it can impact your employment records, taxes, and credit history.
