Team #BatesForBaltimore came through to Park Heights and Pimlico this morning, Northwest neighbors to our campaign HQ over at Hilltop! Our volunteers heard many stories, some heartwarming, and many heartbreaking, but the message was clear: everyone is voting Ivan Bates this July!

No local police departments have been defunded. I don’t want to speculate on why Gov Hogan is choosing to use the word re-funding the police. The Governors stated actions are to channel more money to law enforcement. He’s not replacing funds that were cut.
So Capitol Police called me today to come in for an interview.
They were pretty cryptic on what it was about, but it turns out they have two ongoing investigations that I was witness to: one, the potential assault of an officer by a Member of Congress, the other, Andy Harris.
