@SamGreszes@jeffparker@jaredrusso After the war, they were welcomed lovingly back to Coke and rewarded for keeping operations going during wartime when they couldn’t make coke products because that would have supported the enemy. I’m like… doesn’t that mean that keeping operations going was supporting the enemy?
@SamGreszes@jeffparker@jaredrusso Longer version is capitalists who ran Coca Cola in Germany and were cool with nazis made Fanta. Transitive property means— yes, nazis made Fanta.
@rolecalling@CuppyJo Speaking of the Batman/Zorro ouroboros, I wonder about the relationship of this movie to Batman Beyond, where an old Bruce Wayne plays Diego de la Vega to Terry McGinnis’ Alejandro passing on the mantle of Batman.
@SamGreszes But I hear you on the frustration with always wanting to make perfect decisions. It’s like— go Mrs. Frizzle on it! Get messy! Make mistakes! Well tell a great story that way!
@SamGreszes Got it. Yeeaa… if the players are interested in optimizing and winning the game (which is not a bad thing necessarily!), or even if they just want to find all the stories and be making connections, which is hard for me to do without notes, I say let ‘em play how they want.
@SamGreszes I’ve had players call for INT or WIS checks on their own character for things like that (or for whether or not their character would understand something that the player definitely does) and that’s always fun!
@SamGreszes I think that needs to be a player choice then. It sounds like a fun way to engage if that’s how you’re choosing to engage as a player (I only remember what my character remembers). It’s a rough one to be told by a GM, you’re not allowed to take notes at my table
@SamGreszes If I’m reading you right, you’re trying to enhance immersion by allowing players to naturally either forget things or be reminded of things by a gm, rather than engage in the out-of-fiction act of taking notes or referring to notes?
@SamGreszes This would also contribute to the already quasi (or sometimes openly) antagonistic relationship between GMs and players in many games.
We are all here to tell this story together. I help you remember what happened, you help me remember what happened.
@SamGreszes Players who are solid notetakers are a godsend and make sessions run WAY better than if you aggressively and antagonistically kneecap them.
Wanna know what’s wild about race and ethnicity? In three episodes, That’s My Jam has featured musical artists named Grande, Cara, and Rita but not a single latina has been on that show
tfw you watch your gf freeze to death in front of you then try to carry her frozen corpse to safety and accidentally shatter her instead and the only way to get her back is by betraying the country you spent your life defending 😬😬😬😬
