@james406 Not being funny - in fact sorry to make it dark, but could very easily see it being slavery. Not much disagreement when there's just one stakeholder.
@DogTurdCanada@Spada_LTO@mmpadellan I have watched that, and I don't feel enlightened as to why you feel so strongly that Russia has been wronged to the extent that it allows Putin to invade another country? NATO is a military alliance/agreement, they don't ditctate how you govern.
@kristoph@MsMelChen There's no staging how that unfolded, you cannot go into a meeting and be confident goading will work. Nor can you anticipate demonstrating strength will be received with such defense. The point is, it was messy and not a good look.
@DogTurdCanada@Spada_LTO@mmpadellan Where did I say that's what I wanted? If Ukraine could not be a member of NATO, and be confident it won't be invaded, I think Ukraine would be happy with that.
I assume you live in the 'West', I'd love to know what injustifice you feel Russia has faced?
@DogTurdCanada@Spada_LTO@mmpadellan I am being bated by warmongers? Who? I don't want war, but we already have it because of Russia. My view is just that America is now being pushed around/taken advantage of by Russia - the agressor, so not very strong at all.
@DogTurdCanada@Spada_LTO@mmpadellan America standing up to an ACTUAL super power, like Russia would look strong. Saying no we won't help to a small nation already experiencing WW3? Wakey wakey. It makes the US look like North Korea, a joke state.
@red_loeb@terischultz My only thought is that sycophancy might be unapalatable to most, but as a tool to get what is needed... Perhaps it's the tool to use. It's been discussed in all presidential debates that Trump is weak, if you heap on adoration he'll buckle.
@bopanc The truly dangerous moment (considering the entire world stage), is the moment the US administration legitimises any nation taking land by force. The US administration is acting emotionally, not strategically. It's incredible to live through.
@Palmer6315@DPJHodges Paul, this is on our doorstep ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ. You need to wake up and smell the coffee. The war exists because of Russia. If someone broke into your home, would you apologise and find somewhere else to go? I hope not...
@matt_t_davis @magpie839 @DPJHodges@PaulColli@ZoePolitics The difference between democractic process and coup d'etats are clearly lost on you. I suspect you didn't mind January 6th either...
@miaca_space@kaitlancollins Such an emotional perspective. We witnessed words, stop being so sensitive. The point is, helping Ukraine now prevents WW3 - it's kind of obvious unless you're pro Putin.
@Maximormax1 @joncoopertweets How can you look at the situation so emotionally, and take words so sensitively? The reality is, there's a guy who wants to take land, and the strong thing to do is to stand up to it. Zelensky against all odds is doing that. That's strong.
@BlueCheezWhisky@CarolineLucas You are really and truly stupid. Ukraine is sat between the West and Russia, if you are worried about WW3, remember Ukraine is already experiencing Act 1. They didn't ask for it.
@maddenifico It's not wrong, but it's not new. Why are so many of us blind to the fact that most of America is bored and distrustful of the political institution. The incumbent has lead over a really tumultuous period and people are voting AGAINST establishment. It's that simple.
@johnpavlovitz Because they're committed to a peaceful transfer of power and respect the results of the election. How would the Republicans have orchestrated that on a local level? Accept it and hope he doesn't try for a third term. Register as democrat and vote well in the primaries.
