Our Mississippi Master Naturalists class went to Ship Island for an ornithology field trip lead by Dr. Mark Woodrey!
They learned best practices when using binoculars and scopes to observe birds and walked along the marsh and beach to get their sights on different shorebirds.

Tomatoes crack or split when the fruit expands faster than the skin can stretch, usually due to rapid changes in water availability. This can happen when there is a heavy rain fall after a dry period or when irrigation is uneven #Tomato
Peanut harvest. A “digger” is used to loosen the plant & cut tap root. A shaker behind blade lifts the plants & shakes the dirt from the peanuts, & lays the plant back down in a "windrow” with -peanuts up and leaves down. Allowed to dry for 2 or more days before being combined
