2AM - 1st kid gets sick. Needs a shower. Clean bedding. Snuggles. Back to bed.
3:30AM - 2nd kid decides to start crying off/on for over an hour. Rounds of snuggles. Back to sleep.
6:30AM - 3rd kid has slept peacefully and is READY to go. Starts kicking the wall.

Reading through some old class notes this morning, & I came across some feedback from my practice of preaching class in seminary. One peer critiqued that I “sounded girlish,” & I still find that to be hilarious. Sorry my voice wasn’t “womanly” or hell, maybe even “manly” enough.

My two-year-old daughter has decided that a simple “yes” or “no” aren’t good enough for her. So, she answers all yes/no questions with either “sure do” or “no way.” That’s how I’d like to approach life from here on out.

I’m still haunted by “Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey” after watching it a few weeks ago. Never again will I use the term sweet with my kids or any kid or ever probably. 😳😳😳

Two weeks ago I ran/jogged two miles. Today I had to stop twice to catch my breath during a one mile walk. But I got to spend quality time with my family for the first time in 3 days, so it was worth it.
