Of course Red Hat (or IBM) have not actually "closed sourced RHEL". Closed source is for example Oracle Database. Or Oracle JAVA. In difference to those, the source for RHEL development are still in CentOS Stream, and everyone who receives a binary for RHEL also gets the sources.

Oracle: misquotes and say they will pay money while being rebuilder of that upstream community red hat actively enables.

Now go ask oracle to make their databases opensource. I’ll wait :)
