The Moore League perpetual plaque in the Recreation Park G.C. Coffee Shop was updated today. The Bruins earned the varsity league championship in Boys and Girls Golf with Matthew Schafer and Emi Sverduk winning the individual league titles!

Emi Sverduk ties for 2nd in the @CIFSS individual finals with a round of 73 at River Ridge G.C. and advances to the @CIFState regional on Tuesday. Alyson Sor posted 78 which was also good enough to move her on, but she has already committed to an @AJGAGolf event that conflicts.

Matthew Schafer posts even par 72 to advance to the @CIFState regional as an individual on Tuesday. The Varsity Boys Golf Team placed 10th out of 14 teams with 401 at River Ridge G.C. in the @CIFSS team qualifier.

Varsity Girls Golf Team finishes 5th out of 20 teams in @CIFSS division 2 championship with a score of 413. Emi Sverduk and Alyson Sor were the low finishers for the Bruins with rounds of 73 at Jurupa Hills Golf Course.

Bruins finish in 10th @CIFSS Division 1 Championship which advanced the team to the Section State Qualifier on Thursday. Matthew Schafer was low with 75.

Emi Sverduk posted 78 in the CIF individual regional to finish tied for 6th and advance to the @CIFSS individual finals. Alyson Sor also advanced from today posting a round of 84 amongst difficulty windy conditions this afternoon at Western Hills CC.

With his win Matthew and his brother Tyler became the second set of brothers to win the Moore League championship since the 2004.

The 2021 Moore League Boys Golf Individual Champion is Wilson’s Matthew Schafer. He shot a 281 for -7 for the 4-day tournament. He finished with a 16-stroke advantage and joins his brother Tyler as a champion.
