Joe Andreesen was tailgating in the Bills grass lot just two years ago waiting to watch his favorite team play.
Andreesen played his high school football just 20 minutes away from the Bills stadium at Lancaster High School.
After graduating, Andreesen moved on to play FCS football at Bryant University.
Eventually Andreesen moved back home to start at LB with his hometown Buffalo Bulls.
After spending rookie minicamp with the Chiefs, the Bills picked Andreesen up off waivers and gave him a shot to make his hometown teams’ roster.
Andreesen absolutely BALLED out in the preseason and today, EARNED his spot on the roster.
Potentially filling in for the player whose jersey he wore to every tailgate (Matt Milano).
From the grass lot, to a locker SPOT.
CRAZY 🔥
Congratulations to @BryantUFootball alum Joe Andreessen on making the Buffalo Bills’ initial 53-man roster!
Andreessen was an AP All-American at Bryant in 2022 when he set the single-season program record with 116.0 tackles.

This is brave and inspiring: Utah State QB Levi Williams is giving up college football to become a Navy Seal, he told @kslsports
He just had a 5 touchdown game that made Utah State bowl eligible, but Williams wants to pursue something that is bigger than both himself and sports… protecting the country.
“I just want to be in a spot where I can protect this great country where we get to play football with the freedom to do that. I think this is the best country in the world. So I’d like to keep it that way and protect it as long as I can.”
Absolutely amazing.
