This version of Bach’s first cello suite was recorded live in the Great Smoky Mountains. I’ve always thought of Suite No. 1 as “Nature at Play,” so it was a dream to play it with the birds, the trees, and the rushing brook. ▶️ https://t.co/AQn2pIuZQM
@SchneiderBrandt So I guess the question then is the role of musicals for kids. I’ve never considered theater Ed. Philosophy specifically, but if there are solid instrumental music opportunities other places in curriculum, I’d focus on unique theater opportunities?
@SchneiderBrandt I know our kids go to the Halos, but I’m not super familiar with rules/qualifications other than we don’t compete against really large districts near us and that we don’t submit/aren’t eligible for any pit-specific awards since we have pros.
@SchneiderBrandt Another reason is just practical- in a small school we can’t field a pit AND actors- too much overlap. Though, students can and do play in the pit when they want .

@MattwithIH @TheLancet Totally agree. In fact the MSLT doesn’t measure the excessive sleep in Idiopathic Hypersomnia at all so it’s a completely useless ‘experiment’ for patients with IH.
For decades, sleep and its associated disorders have been considered a Cinderella branch of medicine.
On the cover, our Editorial on the importance of sleep.

@JeffGreeneLearn@AmityGoss Yes! And if we consider “meeting students where they’re at” as not only including current understanding but also culture, background, identity, and personal interests, we’ll naturally be led to create learning opportunities that incorporate many different ways to show learning!
@lisa_d_martin The kids have gone a little crazy decorating the room. They love hiding James in new places. Here he is with the homemade 6-foot cardboard Rock.
