WINTER STORM WARNING issued for areas including Cascade mountains and valleys of Pierce and Lewis Counties. Effective 1pm Wednesday - 12pm Thursday above 1500ft. Heavy snow expected. There is currently a Winter Weather Advisory.

IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Melting lowland snow will contribute to the flood potential and to soil saturation
and thus, increasing the threat of landslides.

WINTER STORM WATCH issued for the Cascades of Lewis County. In effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday night. Heavy snow possible above 3,000 feet with total snow accumulations of 6 to 24 inches. Difficult travel is likely.
