A recently published American Cancer Society study:Smoking is attributed to 56.0% of all preventable cancer cases in men, and 39.9% in women. Free quit medication 4 all smokers just makes sense. We only provide it 4 a small few, 4 a limited time, & charge a copay. @johnjhogan

Tobacco use - hard 2 identify any other condition with such a mix of lethality, prevalence, & neglect. Despite NL Gov’s Health Accord ideals, I see no effort 2 move on addressing the leading preventable cause of death & disease & help people quit. We could be doing so much more

Listening to Dr G Taylor at OMSC and her Cochrane Review. Spoiler alert: extremely strong evidence that quitting smoking has same improvement in anxiety and depression as prescribing antidepressants! There is no doubt about this finding. Let’s help them quit!
