On September 11, 2001, our nation forever changed. On this 25th anniversary of that tragic day, we climbed 110 stories to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, especially the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others.

Please join us as we remember Captain Dannie Wilson who passed away on Sunday, 8/31/25, after a courageous battle with cancer. Captain Wilson served as the Captain & Station Commander at FS4 (Round Hill) for many years & proudly served #Loudoun for over 25 years.
We’ve noticed drivers treating sirens like NBD. If you find yourself wondering, 'Wow, that siren is really loud, I wonder who it's for?'it's for you. You are the roadblock. Let us through. Emergencies happen at all hours, we need your assistance in getting there safely!🚨🚔
Today, we remember FF/Paramedic Jeffrey Rizzo, who unexpectedly passed on July 8, 2021. FF Rizzo began his career as a firefighter in Loudoun in Nov. 2017 & was assigned to FS7, Aldie. We honor his service & will never forget his sacrifice & the sacrifice of his family.
This past Saturday, Captain Dannie Wilson’s name was added to the Line of Duty Death memorial located on the Oliver Robert Dubé Fire & Rescue Training Academy campus, which serves as a reminder to never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

At stair climbs across the country, his climb card remains one of the most requested.
He reminded us that courage is often quiet, kindness matters, and showing up for others is one of life’s greatest callings.
