🚨🗣️ José Mourinho on the VAR double standard between Lionel Messi and Folarin Balogun:
"When I speak about the system, people call me crazy. They say Mourinho is always complaining. But today, the whole world saw the script with their own eyes.
Folarin Balogun makes an accidental step, a completely natural movement of a striker fighting for the ball, and VAR calls the referee like a crime has been committed. A straight red card. He misses the biggest game of his life.
But when the poster boy of FIFA, Lionel Messi, puts his studs into the calf of an opponent, the VAR room suddenly loses their internet connection. The referee goes blind. It is a completely different rulebook. If Balogun's name was Folarin Messi, he would not have even received a warning. It is not about the severity of the foul anymore; it is entirely about the name printed on the back of the shirt. It is a disgrace."
Tip of the cap to Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito: They never fail to disappoint. And still, they failed today on Birthright Citizenship.
But the vote was 5-4. All the "voting doesn't matter" people take note. Play if you want. If you think this is over, you're not paying attention. They'll be back in some form. Hand them one vote, why don't you?
For the rest of us, read Thomas and Alito's dissents for a glimpse of the warped thinking of white nativism. Ol' Clarence starts with Dred Scott. Moves right into Domicile, passes by Indigenous people before going to 14th amendment to catalogue categories of people born in US who are not citizens. Then on to Wong Kim Ark to chip away by talking about children of "temporary residents." Then onto a "parade of the horribles" argument, talking about children of alien enemies or foreign spies born here. Man, this is delicious. In his view, Trump's Citizenship Order is not facially unconstitutional. Says that citizenship requires domicile. On page 91 of his dissent--91 pages!--he says he's not sure today's opinion will stand the test of time.
Play with these people if you want. They'll be back.
OMFG!
RFK Jr: "President Trump has a different way of calculating percentages. If you have a $600 drug and you reduce it to $10, that's a 600% reduction."
No, you imbecile. That’s a 98.33% drop. No math besides make-believe math makes it 600%.

Every agile method has retrospectives.
The point of them is to find better ways of working.
The point is not “talk about our feelings instead of working.”
If you aren’t serious about the earnest work of improvement there is little point in any of this.

Nothing against Scott Adams... I genuinely wish him the best as he battles cancer.
But as someone who’s supported a political movement fighting to strip people of health coverage and opposing Medicare for All, maybe he’s beginning to realize that not everyone can just call the President when their insurer denies care.
I truly wish everyone had that kind of access.
Instead, we live in a country where people who shouldn’t die are dying, simply because they can’t afford to live.
