This is where a true relationship with the Lord helps tremendously. Believers have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit to lead us in our daily walk with Him. And He is the one that will lead us into Truth as we study the Scripture.

1 John 2:20, 27 — Believers have an “anointing from the Holy One” that teaches them and enables them to know the truth.

1 Corinthians 2:6–16 — The whole section. Paul says God’s wisdom is hidden from “the rulers of this age” and revealed by the Spirit to those who have the mind of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:3–4 — The gospel is “veiled” to those who are perishing because “the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers.”

The consistent Biblical claim is that understanding Scripture is not merely a matter of reading skill or intelligence. It requires the Holy Spirit, who is given to those who believe. Unbelievers can read the words and even study them academically, but the spiritual meaning and personal application remain closed to them until God opens their eyes.

God's Word (Truth) is not kept from us when we are truly seeking it.

Jeremiah 29:13 — “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

Matthew 7:7–8 — “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds…”

Deuteronomy 4:29 — “But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Proverbs 8:17 — Wisdom (personified) says, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.”

Hebrews 11:6 — “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

Acts 17:27 — God arranged the nations so “that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.”

These verses present seeking as active and wholehearted, not casual or half-hearted. The promise is that God responds to that kind of search. Combined with the previous passages (especially 1 Corinthians 2), the picture is that the Spirit both draws a person to seek and then grants understanding once they do.

What you’re describing is impossible, except for in cases like the thief on the cross. If we live long enough, after coming into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, Godly behavior will be the inevitable result. Works are not what saves us…just a result of having been saved. “For by grace are you saved through faith, it is a gift of God, not of works so that no man may boast.”

Do you not believe that the evil and suffering Jesus endured on the cross was all part of His plan? If He knew, in eternity past, that Jesus would have to endure the cross as part of His redemptive plan; then why is it so hard to believe God would will evil and suffering in our lives in order to glorify Himself through all of it?

@tracybeanz This is what happens when you’re on your second and third generation of kids growing up without dads. It’s not just mothers that are struggling with mental health issues. First step was kicking God out of our schools, communities and families.

Paternity tests are your checkmate for the theory of evolution? The DNA jump from mankind's "common ancestor" to human beings is not observable, and completely different to the adjustments made to DNA between parents and their kids. The evolutionary theory requires new genetic information, while what we observe between parents and children is the passing along of genes that already exist. Apples and oranges wouldn't you say?

Yep - they have tried to convince the world that they have the authority of God by taking one verse out of context claiming that Peter is the one on whom the church is built instead of Christ. Confession to a priest is ridiculous - For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). The selling of indulgences - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Covering up for pedophiles. Praying to saints (1 Timothy 2:5 again). Pseudo worship of Mary. None of it is Biblical. Plus their whole platform is work based as opposed to faith based - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

They have intentionally integrated pieces of truth into their shit sandwich in order to deceive the masses.

I hate religion - I agree that is has been a devisive tool that has been used over centuries. What I have is a relationship with The Lord and Savior. Religion is man-made, and employs a process that tries to get to God through their own lists of does and don’ts. Jesus had his own problem with religion. He rebuked the “religious” leaders of the time on multiple occasions during his ministry. Man cannot get to God on our own (religion), God had to reach out to us first (relationship).

I agree that consciousness exists, and maybe in all things, but where did it come from? A lot of modern science is coming to realize that the conditions required for life to exist are so specific and must be exact to the point that they are leaning towards intelligent design (God).
