Has anyone else noticed social and spatial awareness completely vanishing? People freezing in doorways, hogging the entire sidewalk, planted in front of exits, blocking whole aisles, stopping at the top of escalators… Get out of the way. Other people exist here too.

@shipwreckedcrew Visited Seattle for first time last week-gorgeous scenery. Had a wonderful breakfast in Pioneer square and 10 feet away my kid said “is that guy smoking a crack pipe?”. Yes, in fact, he was. Lovely.

Graduated high school in 1987. We were talked taught that Pearl Harbor ultimately pulled us in full force to the fight. Kamikazis were showcased to show how dedicated the Japanese were to victory. In college I had a class called WW2 in the Pacific that covered the island campaigns, ship and fuel strategies etc in great detail. Was explained as one of the most brutal engagements. Thus the necessity for the final bombings.
