Weekend #FishPuke. This largemouth bass puked up a few soft plastic baits after I caught it. I pick up a few dozen of these baits off of lake bottoms each year, and apparently bass do too!

After "WILD caught" they should add "...and it's been in the wild a loooong time. Like seriously, have you ever eaten something as old as your grandparents?"
Another year of MN DNR black crappie barotrauma research, and another excellent video. Last year’s got lots of flack, and it seems like they address some of those concerns here. Looking forward to seeing what they’ve got up their sleeves for this year

We’re excited to launch FishAge, the first public database of known-age fish structures. Led by Dr. Marty Hamel, this tool provides high-res images of otoliths, spines, and scales from six species, aiding in accurate fish age estimation.

Last week I paddled the entire Wisconsin River, 439 miles. So incredible to see a river go from a winding trickle through the tag alder, through countless reservoirs of different kinds, to a large, wide river full of ever-changing sandbars.
