Had fun today welcoming our new K friends! Thanks to all the families for their patience while they waited in the steady stream of cars! We can’t wait to have you, the newest Stingers, in our classes in September! 🐝 #sd37
Just a few of the amazing cards the students of Chalmers have made so far. They will be heading to DeltaView Care Home for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia next week. #SpreadingJoyInOurCommunity#sd37@chalmerselem
Found a treasure in my coat pocket today when I took my class outside. It’s a shell from the beach near The Hive that I picked up on the last field trip I went on with my class last year. The Thursday before Spring Break... fun memories! 💕
Happy World Teachers Day to all my amazing colleagues and friends! Thanks to our amazing admin and a parent for the surprises and gifts today 💕 #lovemyjob
A little late this year but harvested 3 of the 5 tubs! The Warba potatoes are HUGE this year. 148 potatoes so far! Thanks to @bcaitc#SpudsInTubs#GrowingFromHome
June 22-28: If you happen not to know already, find out what Indigenous land or territory you're living on. This week, while spending time outside, acknowledge this land. Think about what it's given you and how you can help care more for it.
Our school is under construction & my classroom is not ready yet. Combining forces w/ another K teacher. Here’s our classroom... not what we’re used seeing or how we teach! Desks, individual supplies, and so much more. Fingers crossed it goes well!
@KMedencevic Yes, unfortunately. We will be outside as much as we can since it’s not fair to them to have to sit in a desk all day. Between our 2 classes we have a total of 14 kids coming back spread out over the week, roughly 7-8 each day.
@MoniqueLousier Between my myself and the fellow K teacher that put these together, we have 14 returning. We only made them for each kid returning - so 14 made.
Mrs. Corazza and I put together individual story workshop tins - each kid will get their own to use for their days at school in June #story37#StoryStudio#CovidTeaching
@mmedare We made the buckets pretty much the same. We may add to them. Our classrooms are currently packed up as our school is under construction so we don’t have access to everything in our rooms so we put them together with what we could get at too.
