I introduced Motion M-32 to honour the contributions of Chinese Canadians and to ensure the legacy of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s historic Head Tax apology and redress is permanently recognized.
This month marks 20 years since that historic apology was delivered in the House of Commons, acknowledging a profound injustice and recognizing the sacrifices and contributions of generations of Chinese Canadians.
If you support Motion M-32, please sign the petition below and share it with your friends and family. Together, we can encourage the government to formally recognize this important chapter in Canadian history.

@smeurrens Not sure why, but many refusal letters for dummy apps submitted before expiry no longer mention temp resident status expiry date or 90-day restoration period. Instead, they say to leave immediately if document has expired. Dont know if it means restoration is no longer applicable
@CitImmCanada Does you truly require STEM talent, only to trap them in a years-long security review black hole? Eventually, someone must be held accountable for this.
@smeurrens The curve is the price of Canada's bureaucratic system. Their shameless response to Petition 451-00725 proves they’d rather waste taxpayer dollars and clog federal courts than fix the real problem, mass-dumping of specific nationalities into endless security screening.
