Trump Congratulates Iraq’s PM-Designate al-Zaidi, Invites Him to Washington

Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received a phone call on Thursday from Donald Trump, who congratulated him on being formally tasked with forming Iraq’s new government, according to a statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office.

Invitation to Washington

During the call, Trump extended an official invitation to al-Zaidi to visit Washington following the formation of the new government, the statement said.
