Today I was at Pride in Manchester - I'm now at the Queer Night Pride March in Clapham, London where two people were attacked.
It's a stark reminder in all the celebrating of progress - we must stand in solidarity against hate crime.
And that's for the entire LGBTIQA community.
The mood towards LGBTQ+ people is foul as fuck in the UK right now, with no push back from government or opposition (which is why they exist). In my years of working in comms I canโt recall a time when people were so brazen in hating us.
This c*nt, Travis Ikeguchi, shot this beautiful LGBTQ+ ally, Lauri Carleton, dead for flying a pride flag outside her store in Southern California.
People whose entire online presence is inciting hate against LGBTQ+ people are also to blame.
Rest in peace, Lauri.
@LFortressGame I'm being bullied by homophobes on this game i have screen shots and evidence please can I block them from all/any interactions ?
#Homophobia#Bullying
not a single tweet about the homophobic knife attack in clapham from the prime minister, home secretary or the equalities minister.
by comparison all of them felt compelled to rush to comment on nigel farage being 'debanked' by a luxury bank a few weeks ago...
@csav55 @OwenJones84 So as a gay cis man with no children and no intention of having children can I get my tax reduced? Of course not nor should I. The government has a duty to children especially when their care givers fail.
