no one knows what filler episodes are anymore. an episode that provides a.) background on our protagonist b.) deepens his relationships and c.) furthers the plot cannot be filler. maybe you don't like it, maybe you wanted to see other things, but what's happening is relevant
for a season that only has 7 episodes the first 2 episodes should NOT feel like I’m watching filler this is not a series that gets 22 episodes per season they should be using every minute to their advantage and the showrunner should not be admitting they have “weak” episodes
Fake Louis fans only like his cruelty when it's justified, I love him even more when he's cruel just for kicks, that fuckinggg little smile he gives Daniel after tearing him the fuck down psychologically is a top 5 Louis moment for me
which means bigger and more outlets will be interested in running stories, and the quote to me indicates more that the name change, tone shift and marketable gimmick of a rockstar vampire allow the show to find new audiences where other third seasons would struggle
I know he’s a team player but Jacob Anderson should have quit this show. They pretended that show didn’t exist for two seasons and fans themselves had to market it and tell everyone how good it was, and now suddenly all the marketing dollars and activations are there.
only towards the end has s3 picked up steam in the marketing, but the other two seasons were much more consistent and also had big events to promote the show (e.g. the sdcc experience in 2023). the show also just picked up more following through the netflix/hbo deals
