@theBasedBarbie I’m in the same boat at 43 looking for my future companion, but you have the right mindset. Work on yourself while you wait. Remember he is looking for you too. 😉
Paul put it perfectly, God wants us to know him because he is perfect. - 1 Corinthians 13:
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
@BradWitbeck Pride probably made Goliath stand exactly where he did, making it easier for David to land the perfect shot. When we have confidence in God, He’ll stack our obstacles like dominoes for the fall.
@Manhattva In my 40s and recently divorced. I can get a latina in her 30s, but most have been too hard to handle in my experience. Anybody know any good looking local LDS Utah women who want to give it a try?
@ThoughtfulSaint I was stoned on my mission. Dude just randomly started throwing them at me and my companion. He was drunk at the time so his aim was off. Still got hit though. Almost got shot too. All fond memories now.
@64ozDrPepper@StevenRessler@Mormonger You can try to interpret however you want, but baptism for the dead is clearly in the Bible. There is no way around it. Believe in it or not, it’s there.
@StevenRessler@Mormonger I’m about to blow your mind my friend:
1 Corinthians 15:29
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead?
