I decided to take my first exploratory trip to the LA entertainment industry. I've been a screenwriter for 17 years, and though I've been to LA, it's my first time as a screenwriter trying to open any doors for myself. I'm leaving tomorrow, and I'm freaking out about it. (1)

Objectively, I know I can't define my entire career based on one trip to LA. I've written for 15 TV series and 5 features in Brazil, and my first Canadian feature is in the early stages of financing. The industry is in a grim place right now, so I can't expect much. (5)
