Bitcoin Core v30 va multiplier la taille de OP_RETURN (l’espace “écrire des données” dans une transaction) jusqu’à environ 4 Mo.
Concrètement, cela élargit l’usage de #Bitcoin au-delà du paiement pur pour y stocker des messages utiles: ordres simples, métadonnées, instructions de tokens, posts sociaux, preuves… directement on-chain, sans modifier le consensus.

C’est une suite logique des #Ordinals, avec un cadre plus clair pour la donnée.

Cette évolution ouvre la porte à de nouvelles apps : tokens plus standards, primitives DeFi, indexeurs, marketplaces, et des usages sociaux.
Le principe est simple : on paie des frais pour écrire des données, et les nœuds peuvent les ignorer une fois s’ils n’en ont pas besoin.
Bitcoin conserve ses propriétés de sécurité et de décentralisation, tout en gagnant en programmabilité de manière pragmatique.

Dans ce contexte, l’extension Universal BRC‑20 se positionne comme un standard pratique pour les tokens sur Bitcoin.
Elle utilise OP_RETURN pour déployer, mint et transférer des actifs avec un format lisible.

@theblacknode s’inscrit ici comme une brique d’infrastructure : indexeur Simplicity, marketplace, et compatibilité avec des BRC‑20.
L’idée est d’offrir une vue cohérente des actifs et des outils d’intégration pour utilisateurs et développeurs.

De son côté, @txdotlol apporte une brique DeFi avec un AMM construit sur OP_RETURN.
Le modèle repose sur des pools “virtuels” inscrits on-chain pour permettre des swaps BRC‑20 sans confiance et avec une transparence de base.
L’approche vise une expérience simple, ancrée sur Bitcoin, sans dépendre de configurations complexes.
⚠️ À noter : leur token $LOL existe, mais chacun devrait faire ses propres recherches et évaluer les risques.

La complémentarité des deux projets est notable : Black Node fournit des rails d’infra et la découverte d’actifs, tandis que txdotlol se concentre sur l’échange natif.

On reste tôt dans ce développement, et tout ne sera pas parfait d’emblée.
Mais l’extension d’OP_RETURN offre un terrain d’expérimentation intéressant...
