For some years now I've tried to get around gamedev, with some results, some are even playable for a minute. But everything got stuck at stage of drawing assets, oh how ironic.
And that's skill issue on my part. I still can't get it right - from colors to levels of detail.

So, some time ago, out of despair, I've started a new RPG Maker project and cobbled some assets in ZX Spectrum palette, which is, like, tiny, while having ProJared's video about Hydlide in a background.
