I was also wondering about whether the artist decided to keep Nora at age 17, as in the novel, which is Jeremy's age, or make him 18, as his birth month was changed to September. Nora's fight with his grandfather is where we found out Nora was 17 in the novel, so we might (+) 🧐
i wanted to talk this off my heart~
(it will be a long post)
the two worst fandoms i’ve ever been in are probably operation true love and the forgotten field
otl has become so exhausting a looong while ago with all the misunderstandings insults and constant fandom wars. you can literally get called a pedophile over fictional characters and i’m not even getting into that topic again because people who are active on tiktok in the otl fandom know exactly what i’m talking about. certain dowha fans and toxic eunhyeok fans genuinely ruined so much of the fandom for a lot of people.
and the forgotten field is just as exhausting because people constantly spread misinformation and lies which isn’t new anymore. they refuse to understand the characters’ flaws. i’ve already made a long post about this before but there is absolutely nothing wrong with liking certain characters and disliking others. criticizing a character is completely normal and everyone does it. what bothers me is when people randomly pick a character they dislike and to completely take them down even when they barely know the character, their personality or their flaws. they twist their personality and everything they do just to justify hating them.
they always say they love complex characters but then reduce them to “homewrecker” “male centered” “he abandoned her” or whatever label fits their agenda. no one in the forgotten field is completely innocent except asros and edric and that’s literally what makes kim suji’s writing so good. she creates flawed and complicated characters instead of perfect people and somehow people still refuse to understand that while choosing to be ignorant and claiming they know everything better.
